Angie
Today would be my sisters birthday....her lucky golden birthday....27 on February 27th. Today I have been thinking about her alot. For those of you who don't know, she died in a car wreck almost 12 years ago. I sure do miss her. Things sure would be alot easier if she were here. I know that she's in a better place, but sometimes I feel sad, all the things that she's missed out on. She wasn't at my wedding, isn't able to know my cute little lilee....I always wonder what she would look like now, where in life she would be, would I be an aunt...what profession would she have. She's been gone, almost as long as she was here, and it's really kinda sad when I think about it. Anyways- no more sappy stories, time to go pack my stuff to go to St.George. HAPPY BIRHTDAY ANG.
Sore LeGs!
Melissa and I started working out yesterday...AND BOY ARE WE SORE! I am so outta shape, it's not even funny. We tried going to a class today, it was nothing but lunges, and our legs were so sore from yesterday, we peaced out on that class! lol. Anyways- thanks for helping me get my butt there Melissa, I probably wouldn't do it without you!

Good ol' St. George
I went to St.George this last weekend, for a girlfriend from Beauty schools wedding. It was alot of fun! A couple of my girlfriends went and we took Lilee and we stayed at the Ramada Inn. It was alot fun, we didnt have alot of plans to do much, but just getting away for the weekend was a ton of fun! We are card sharks, and we love playing Texas Holdem. How funny is that! Melissa dominated the playing feild this time, which was good for her, only we didn't play with money, just poker chips! lol. So that actually sucks for her! No Im kidding, it was really fun. And not only that, but we busted out the old school GO FISH....SWEET!! I haven't played that since I was a kid, and it actually was a blast! We were alittle late for the wedding, because we couldn't stop playing cards. Anyways- thanks for the good time girls, and CONGRATS LATISHA!

Invisible moms....
Kailee, I stole this off your blog, but I loved it so much, I hope you don't mind, that I post in on mine!
To all those WONDERFUL MOMS!!!!
This is totally worth reading!!!
The invisible Mom:
I'm Invisible. It all began to make sense, the blank stares, the lack of response, the way one of the kids will walk into the room while I'm on the phone and ask to be taken to the store. Inside I'm thinking, "Can't you see I'm on the phone?" Obviously not;no one can see if I'm on the phone, or cooking, or sweeping thefloor, or even standing on my head in the corner, because no one can see me at all. I'm invisible. The invisible Mom.
Some days I am only a pair of hands, nothing more: Can you fix this? Can you tie this? Can you open this? Some days I'm not a pair of hands; I'm not even a human being. I'm a clock to ask, "What time is it?" I' m a satellite guide to answer, "What number is the Disney Channel?" I'm a car to order, "Right around 5:30 please." I was certain that these were the hands that once held books and the
eyes that studied history and the mind that graduated summa cum laude - but now they had disappeared into the peanut butter, never to be seen again. She's going, she's going, and she's gone!
One night, a group of us were having dinner, celebrating the return of a friend from England. Janice had just gotten back from a fabulous trip, and she was going on and on about the hotel she stayed in. I was sitting there, looking around at the others all put together so well. It was hard not to compare and feel sorry for myself as I
looked down at my out-of-style dress; it was the only thing I could find that was clean. My unwashed hair was pulled up in a hair clip and I was afraid I could actually smell peanut butter in it. I was feelingpretty pathetic, when Janice turned to me with a beautifully wrapped package, and said, "I brought you this." It was a book on the great cathedrals of Europe. I wasn't exactly sure why she'd given it to me until I read her inscription: "To Charlotte, with admiration for the greatness of what you are building when no one sees."
In the days ahead I would read - no, devour - the book. And I would discover what would become for me, four life-changing truths, after which I could pattern my work: No one can say who built the great cathedrals - we have no record of their names. These builders gave their whole lives for a work they would never see finished. They made great sacrifices and expected no credit. The passion of their building was fueled by their faith that the eyes of God saw everything.
A legendary story in the book told of a rich man who came to visit the cathedral while it was being built, and he saw a workman carving a tiny bird on the inside of a beam. He was puzzled and asked the man, "Why are you spending so much time carving that bird into a beam that will be covered by the roof? No one will ever see it." And the workman replied, "Because God sees."
I closed the book, feeling the missing piece fall into place. It was almost as if I heard God whispering to me, "I see you, Charlotte. I see the sacrifices you make every day, even when no one around you does. No act of kindness you've done, no sequin you've sewn on, no cupcake you've baked, is too small for me to notice and smile over. You are building a great cathedral, but you can't see right now what
it will become."
At times, my invisibility feels like an affliction. But it is not a disease that is erasing my life. It is the cure for the disease of my own self-centeredness. It is the antidote to my strong, stubborn pride. I keep the right perspective when I see my self as a great builder. As one of the people who show up at a job that they will
never see finished, to work on something that their name will never be on.
The writer of the book went so far as to say that no cathedrals could ever be built in our lifetime because there are so few people willing to sacrifice to that degree. When I really think about it, I don't want my son to tell the friend he's bringing home from college for Thanksgiving, "My Mom gets up at 4 in the morning and bakes
homemade pies, and then she hand bastes a turkey for three hours and presses all the linens for the table." That would mean I'd built a shrine or a monument to myself. I just want him to want to come home. And then, if there is anything more to say to his friend, to add, "You're gonna love it there."
As mothers, we are building great cathedrals. We cannot be seen if we're doing it right. And one day, it is very possible that the world will marvel, not only at what we have built, but at the beauty that has been added to the world by the sacrifices of invisible women.
Great Job, MOM!

I don't know...
So Lilee's new thing is "I don't know" Listen to how funny this is....you'll have to turn down the music to hear her! It's so stinkin cute!
Colbie....
So last night, we went to Colbie Callait....and boy was it a mess. Colbie herself was freaking awesome, but getting to that wasn't really worth it....wasn't it girls!! First we got there at 5:50.....it was suppose to start at 6:00. They didn't even open the doors until 6:30.....so we had to stand in line out side in 12 degree weather..then we get in there, and there's no seating. Only standing, so here we are smooshed in the middle of the crowd, people pushing, a girls boobs smashed into my back, elbows in the ribs.....can't find my hands sort of thing. It pretty much sucked. Between, waiting, the pushy girls, the smokers up above, Kim's "wool" jacket fiasco...lol...the frizzy haired gina in front of us....OH MY GOSH the list goes on. It was really funny! Anyways girls, a night to remember!!!

Valentines Day!
To all my friends that will be reading this, I hope you have a great Valentines Day, cuddle up to your husband, and let him know how much you love him. Sometimes it's nice to have an excuse (like Valentines Day) to put it all into perspective, and realize that there's more to life, and you really do love each other. (I know that sometimes, well most times, I don't show my husband enough, how much I really do love him. Lets challenge each other to be more sensitive, and stop nagging all the time to them!) I don't know if love is in the air, or if its really late at night, close to 1:30 a.m. and I need to go to bed, but I am feeling a soft spot in my heart! lol gay I know. But anyways-
So friends....HUGS AND KISSES...XOXO

A DAY OF LOVE.....<3
HAPPY LOVERS DAY! VALENTINES DAY IS KIND OF SILLY. YOU GO OUT, BUY YOUR WIFE FLOWERS, TRY AND ACT ALL ROMANTICAL, GO TO DINNER, SPEND MONEY YOU DON'T NECESSARILY HAVE, JUST TO SAY I LOVE YOU! AND HONEY, I SURE DO LOVE IT! I LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE, AND WHO WE'VE BECOME. IT'S TAKEN 3 1/2 YEARS TO GET TO THIS POINT, BUT I TRUELY HAVE TO SAY THAT I AM SO HAPPY. EVEN THOUGH SOME DAYS I DON'T SHOW IT, AND SOME DAYS WE WANT TO KILL EACH OTHER, I LOVE YOU, AND AM GRATEFUL FOR ALL THAT YOU FOR ME AND LILEE. WE WOULDN'T BE WHERE WE ARE TODAY WITH YOU! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY, BE MINE?

Rain boots...

So today, I went shopping with Melissa and I bought Lilee some rain boots from baby gap. I wanted to get her some navy blue ones with some polka dots. She absolutely wouldn't let me, she was dead set on getting the pink ones with red hearts. Wich are totally cute, but I think they look too much like valentine boots. So anyways- She won, she's spoiled, and she got the pink heart ones! lol. Anyways- It amazes me that she is 22 months, and already knows what she wants. So I just put her to bed, I know it's late, but she also wanted to watch her new strawberry shortcake video, so I said what the heck. Anyways- she spotted the gap sack with the boots, and had to put them on, so needless to say, she's sleeping with them on! lol. What a horible mom I am for letting her have her way, but I could hardly resist when she started crying because I was trying to take her boots off! She's too cute! Anyways- enough about my long story, goodnight!

Day time naps....
Well for the past six months maybe, Lilee has a hard going to sleep during the day..She sleeps in a twin bed, so that's our problem. It starts with her throwing a fit that she has to take a nap in the first place, and then once I have her in her room, she really starts throwing a fit. So I shut the light off, shut her door, and she ends up crying it out at the door, pounding on it, hoping I will let her out. So eventually falls asleep at the door, with the light on, for about one hour. Her naps aren't near as long as they use to be, and then they aren't that great of naps, because she doesn't sleep that well. So anyways- this short story has become quite long! lol. So the other day, I decided to trick her into a nap. She got a little princess tent for Christmas from Aunt Crystal, (THE BEST GIFT EVER!) so I made her a little bed in there, with her stuffed animal, and a couple blankets, and told her to take a nap in her tent. WICH SHE LOVES! So I just have a little bed all made up for her, so when she gets outta bed, she realizes she has a tent to sleep in. It's actually pretty cute. She sleeps good in there, it's dark, she leaves the light off, and she actually sleeps a normal nap. And now I have a peiece of mind, knowing, she isn't laying at her door with the light on, and she's actually in somewhat of a makeshift bed! lol. Anyways- that's a crazy long short story! I would take a picture of her in there, but she's a really light sleeper, and my luck, it would wake her up!
